Child Care Aware/MNSTREAMS
The Ounce Scale is an observation tool that can be used to assess the development of infants and toddlers. In this session you will explore The OUNCE Scale materials including the Observation Record, the Family Album and the Developmental Profile. You will define assessment and consider a range of tools available for evaluating child development. You will consider how The Ounce Scale can be used in early care and education settings to understand children from birth to 42 months, to plan curriculum, to communicate with parents and to assess child development.
