As a result of active participation in course activities, learners will be able to:
1. Describe strategies for building a trusting and respectful mentoring relationship.
2. Demonstrates the use of dialogue and open-ended questions to build rapport and initiate interaction.

4. Demonstrate capacity to give and receive feedback.
5. Explain culturally responsive practice in the context of mentoring.
6. Explain conflict resolution strategies related to the mentoring relationship.
7. Identify sources for resources useful to mentoring situations.
