Demonstrate skills and techniques to increase family engagement through creating community-based projects and initiatives. Early childhood education program leaders and teachers will learn key communication strategies to promote positive family engagement from families of all cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Participants will distinguish the importance of parent involvement in the early years of a child’s development by using a diversity, equity, and inclusion approach.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Construct skills and techniques to communicate with families about community-based projects and initiatives.
• Design opportunities for family engagement using a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens.
