Caryn is a registered Dance/movement Therapist. She owns her own company, S.T.E.P.S., that focus on both early childhood movement classes and outreach movement classes for daycares, preschools, schools, social service agencies, and non-profits. S.T.E.P.S. classes are for caregivers and their child/ren, to learn how to engage through movement on a deeper level and with more intention. Learning through embodied experiences lays a stronger foundation for both child and adult. When both adult and child learn, there is space to move beyond the classroom. Movement doesn't have to be done only in the classroom, but movement can be implemented in the car, in line at the store, while dinner is cooking ~ anywhere! Through S.T.E.P.S., Caryn's intention is to activate the whole brain engaging the social, cognitive, emotional, & physical aspects of the self. This is done through specific whole body movements, movement stories, light yoga, mindfulness, and dancing.
