My background involves assessing biopsychosocial environments to determine the needs of individuals and families in predominantly marginalized communities who experience higher levels of stress and anxiety as a result of poverty and social injustices. The systems (micro, meso, macro, etc.,) serving these populations are also evaluated as part of the ecological systems model.

I am interested in the biological, psychological, and social effects of stress and trauma within cultural communities and how it is manifested across development, especially during early childhood and school age.
